Marvel Studios has several films and series planned for the years ahead, even as the Multiverse Saga approaches its end. The upcoming slate includes major Avengers installments, a new X-Men film and projects for Ghost Rider and Black Panther, alongside returning television and animation titles.

The studio is reportedly shifting toward fewer releases, with no more than three films a year and a smaller number of television productions. The focus is expected to be on multi-season series rather than limited runs.

“Avengers: Doomsday” is scheduled to arrive on December 18, 2026, with Anthony and Joe Russo directing. Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Pedro Pascal and Robert Downey Jr. are among its announced cast. The film is set to bring together the Avengers, the Fantastic Four and the original Fox X-Men, though its plot has not been fully disclosed.

“Daredevil: Born Again” is due to return for a third and final season in March 2027. Charlie Cox is among the returning cast, alongside Mike Colter, Finn Jones and Krysten Ritter. The series is also expected to reunite characters from the Defenders, while Elodie Yung’s return as Elektra has been reported as unofficially confirmed.

The next Avengers film, “Avengers: Secret Wars,” is scheduled for December 17, 2027. Little has been revealed about the story, but filming is expected to begin in late 2026. The title draws on Jonathan Hickman’s 2015 comic series, and the film is expected to build on the multiverse conflicts established in earlier MCU projects.

Phase Seven is set to begin with an untitled X-Men movie on May 5, 2028. Jake Schreier will direct, with Kit Connor, Sadie Sink, Adam Driver and Christopher Abbott among the announced cast. Confirmed characters include Cyclops, Rogue, Emma Frost, Storm, Angel, Charles Xavier and Mr. Sinister. Further details about the story and how the team will come together have not been announced.

A Ghost Rider film starring Ryan Gosling is scheduled for July 28, 2028, with Shawn Levy directing. Marvel has not said whether Gosling will play Johnny Blaze or Danny Ketch, and plot details remain under wraps.

“Black Panther 3,” directed by Ryan Coogler, is set for December 15, 2028. David Jonsson is slated to play the son of the original T’Challa, while Letitia Wright and Winston Duke are expected to return. Denzel Washington is also listed among the cast. No story details have been released.

Marvel Television’s “Zodiac,” revealed at NYCC 2026, is planned for 2028, although its release date and cast have not been confirmed. The series has been described by Marvel television chief Brad Winderbaum as an international espionage story involving secrets, lies and betrayals. It is expected to film in London in spring 2027.

The animated “Marvel Zombies” will also continue with three two-part specials: “The Winter Soldier” in October 2027, “The Fist of Khonshu” in October 2028 and “The Last Guardian” in October 2029. Bryan Andrews is attached as showrunner, while details of the specials’ stories and casts have not been announced.
