NASA has announced the main events for MAX POWER, a new aerospace expo and air show scheduled for Friday, Nov. 6, through Sunday, Nov. 8, at and near Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The family-friendly event will open its gates at 9 a.m. EST on Nov. 7 and 8.

The expo will feature aircraft, autonomous vehicles and other technologies related to the future of air and space. NASA plans to display its X-59 quiet supersonic aircraft, while partner organizations will present Moon rovers, spacecraft and additional exhibits. MAX POWER also marks the culmination of NASA’s recent Inspiration Tour, which included flyovers featuring the agency’s aircraft.

On Friday, Nov. 6, media will have opportunities from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. to preview the weekend’s activities at the NASA Press Site. Media credentialing is closed, and approved media must arrange interviews in advance.

Saturday’s program includes a 10 a.m. media session on nuclear NASA activities with Cynthia Simmons, director of the Space Reactors Division. Opening air show remarks by NASA Deputy Administrator Matt Anderson are scheduled for 11:30 a.m., followed by an F-5 flyover featuring NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman at 11:58 a.m.

At 12:45 p.m., NASA’s Artemis III crew will take part in a Meet the Astronauts event. Participants include mission commander Randy Bresnik, pilot Luca Parmitano of the European Space Agency, mission specialist Frank Rubio and backup crew member Bob Hines. NASA will hold a media session with the crew afterward.

The Saturday schedule also includes a 2 p.m. presentation on NASA’s Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope, featuring senior project scientist Julie McEnery. At 5 p.m., NASA will hold a news conference on the Moon Base at the Press Site Auditorium. Participants listed by the agency include Jared Isaacman, Moon Base Program manager Carlos García-Galán, NASA Science associate administrator Nicky Fox and Dayna Ise, acting director of the Moon Base Program’s Utility and Infrastructure Office. The conference will be streamed online, and NASA experts will be available for interviews afterward.

Sunday’s activities begin at 9 a.m. with a media session on the X-59. Participants include Laurie Grindle, director of NASA’s Aeronautics Division; Peter Coen, the Quesst mission manager at NASA Langley; and X-59 test pilot Jim “Clue” Less of NASA Armstrong.

A student challenge announcement is scheduled for 10 a.m. at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex’s Rocket Garden, with Isaacman and García-Galán listed as participants. NASA experts may be available for interviews at the location, but interested media must contact NASA Headquarters newsroom representative Lauren Low by 5 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 5.

Sunday will also feature an F-5 flyover at 11:58 a.m. and a MiG-29 flyover at 1:31 p.m., both featuring Isaacman. At 12:45 p.m., NASA Deputy Administrator Matt Anderson is scheduled to appear at the United States Space Academy event, while NASA astronauts Jessica Meir and Jack Hathaway will participate in a Meet the Astronauts session focused on SpaceX Crew-12.

NASA said all listed times are Eastern Standard Time and may change. The agency has published the current schedule and additional information about attending MAX POWER on its website.
